The project added a full basement beneath the addition, opened the main floor into the original kitchen, and created a large, connected living area that feels integrated with the existing structure.

Create a full basement beneath the new addition while structurally connecting the expansion to the existing home and opening approximately 18 feet of the original exterior wall to create one large interior space.
CHALLENGES
Schifer Construction built the addition from the foundation up, incorporating a full basement and tying the main floor directly into the home's existing kitchen. Removing a substantial section of the original exterior wall allowed the old and new spaces to function as one large, open area.
SOLUTION
A major expansion that adds substantial square footage on two levels, including a large open main-floor living area and a full basement planned to accommodate two additional bedrooms.
